This is a map showing some of the places in Alaska that my brother Tom and I visited in June and July of 2012.
We hitchhiked everywhere so Alaska can be seen on the cheap, including some very remote places.
The environment is awe inspiring, beautiful but very unforgiving. Not a place for a lazy summer holiday and definitely not 'Northern Exposure'! If you like to hike, love mountains and don't mind 24 hour day light in summer or the certainty of seeing grizzly and black bears - you should visit Alaska!
I hope that this map might inspire someone to go to Alaska! Also it will be great to share with my family and friends.
